It All Started on a Golf Course. Seriously.
Back in 2016, our founder JJ was an avid CrossFitter with a problem — he couldn't find a pair of grips that could keep up with his training.
Then, of all places, inspiration struck on a golf course.
After chatting with a fellow golfer who couldn't stop raving about the strength and durability of his kangaroo leather golf gloves, JJ had a thought: If this leather performs so well in golf, why not CrossFit?
He took the idea back to his local CrossFit gym and teamed up with the owners and coaches to develop something better.
After countless prototypes, leather samples and plenty of testing on the rig, RooGrips was born.
A Little Obsession With the Details
From day one, our mission was simple: to create the best hand grips in the world.
We wanted grips for athletes who appreciate quality, performance and the little details that make a big difference.
We explored hundreds of leather samples, treatments and finishes before finding the perfect combination of strength, durability and comfort.
Every detail mattered. From the leather and stitching to the straps and buckles, our grips went through countless iterations, all with one goal — to create hand protection athletes could genuinely rely on.
Keeping It in the Family
Fast forward to 2021, RooGrips entered its next chapter when JJ's sister, Cristalle, took over the reins.
Since then, we've expanded our range, introduced new products and taken our little Aussie brand to athletes around the world.
What hasn't changed is our passion for creating premium hand protection that athletes can rely on and that lasts.

Best Grips On The Market
After my original RooGrips wore out, I tried a rival brand for a few months but did not enjoy them at all. Coming back to the RooGrips I realize that they really are the best grips on the market hands down!

Excellent Choice
Went from $20 2 finger gloves to these roo 3 finger ones.....what a difference. The thickness and quality is top notch....you defintely get what you pay for.

I love my new 3 finger Roo Grips! I was worried they would be hard and need time to break in but they arrived and were so soft and flexible. They give great coverage across your whole palm and the thick wrist strap gives added support. I would highly recommend these grips, they’re worth the $$

Amazing!
I absolutely love them! They have stopped my hands from ripping, I’ve added more reps in all of my movements including T2B and pull ups and most of all they’re super comfortable to wear.
