Leather Grips
One chart covers all three leather styles: 2-Finger, 3-Finger and Fingerless.
How to measure
- Hold your training hand out flat, palm up.
- Find the crease where your palm meets your wrist.
- Measure straight up to where your middle finger starts. That's your palm length.
| Size | cm | Inches |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 8.6 – 10 cm | 3.4 – 3.9 in |
| Medium | 10 – 12 cm | 3.9 – 4.7 in |
| Large | 12 – 13 cm | 4.7 – 5.1 in |
Measure over 13 cm? Email us before you order and we'll point you to the best fit.
How they should fit
Snug, like a second skinLeather grips are designed to fit snugly so they move with your hand on the bar.
Between sizes? Go snugKangaroo leather stretches up to half a size (around 0.5 cm) with regular use, so the smaller size usually ends up perfect.
Which style?
The sizing is the same across all three styles. What changes is how much of your hand they cover:
2-FingerSmaller palm piece covering the middle of your hand. A great all-rounder and a good pick for smaller hands.
3-FingerFull palm coverage and a secure finger attachment, so they stay put on high-volume bar work.
FingerlessCovers your palm and fingers with no holes to thread. Fastest for switching between bar work and barehanded movements.

MAX Grips
Covers MAX 3-Finger and MAX Fingerless.
Don't use your leather size
MAX Grips have their own chart and run slightly large. Your leather grip size won't always carry across, so measure again using the chart below.
How to measure
- Hold your hand out flat, palm up.
- Measure from your wrist crease to where your middle finger starts.
- Match your palm length to the MAX chart below, not the leather chart.
| Size | cm | Styles |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 8 – 11 cm | Both |
| Medium | 11.1 – 13 cm | Both |
| Large | 13.1 – 14 cm | Both |
| X-Large | 14 cm + | Fingerless only |
How they should fit
Between sizes? Size downMAX Grips run a little larger, so most athletes go for the smaller size for a snug, secure fit.
Long fingers? If you have longer fingers, the bigger size may suit you better. Not sure? Send us your measurement.
3-Finger vs FingerlessBoth use the same chart and fit advice. 3-Finger comes in S–L, and Fingerless also comes in XL.
No break-in neededThe 2.6mm rubber is slightly thicker than leather, but most athletes find them comfy straight away.

Snug performance fit
Elite Gloves are designed to fit close, and our sizing sits on the snug side. The kangaroo leather softens and moulds to your hands over time, but they shouldn't feel uncomfortably tight around your fingers when new.
Between sizes? Size upThis is the opposite of our leather grips. If you're between two sizes, go for the larger one.
Broader hands or fingers? Size upIf your hands or fingers are on the wider side, the next size up will feel better.
Snug, not restrictiveYour gloves should feel close-fitting, but never so tight they restrict your movement.
Not sure?Choose the larger size, or email us your measurement before ordering.

Sizing FAQs
Can I use the same size across all RooGrips?
Not always. Leather Grips and MAX Grips both measure palm length but use different charts, and Elite Gloves measure around your hand. Check the chart for each product.
Why is the advice different for grips and gloves?
Leather grips stretch slightly with use, so we recommend the snugger fit. MAX Grips run a little large, so most people size down. Elite Gloves are cut close, so we recommend sizing up if you're between sizes.
Do the leather grips stretch?
Yes, a little. Kangaroo leather can stretch up to half a size with frequent use, which is totally normal.
What if I pick the wrong size?
No stress. We offer 30-day size exchanges on unused items in their original packaging. Email support@roogrips.com and we'll help you swap them over. See our Shipping & Returns page for details.
Grips or gloves – which do I need?
Grips are built for bar work like pull-ups, toes-to-bar and muscle-ups. Elite Gloves are for full sessions across dumbbells, kettlebells, carries and HYROX-style training. Our Hand Grip Guide breaks it down.

Send us your measurement and the product you're looking at, and we'll tell you which size to grab.
